Zac Brown Band’s Southern Ground Music & Food Festival Returns To Charleston For Sixth Year

Zac Brown BandThe groundbreaking, premier Americana event, ‘Southern Ground Music and Food Festival’, features some of the most impressive music acts and artisan food earning the fest its long-running title of Charleston City Paper’s reader-voted “Best Music Concert.” The one-of-a-kind festival returns to Charleston’s MUSC Health Stadium on Saturday, May 20th and Sunday, May 21st, 2017 for its sixth year in a row.

With its star-studded lineup each year, the festival continues to draw an eclectic roster of artists, and has done so since its inception in 2011.

Past music acts include John Mayer, Sheryl Crow, The Avett Brothers, The Lumineers, Willie Nelson and Family, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Train, Kenny Chesney, John Fogerty, Kenny Rogers, Eric Church, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Grace Potter, Bruce Hornsby and the Noise Makers, Kacey Musgraves, Thomas Rhett, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Gov’t Mule, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Cam and Hunter Hayes.

Some of the nation’s most talented award-winning chefs, including Southern Ground Executive Chef Rusty Hamlin, James Beard Foundation award winner RJ Cooper, Chef of the Year by the Charleston chapter of the American Culinary Foundation: Chef Craig Deihl and Charleston native Chef Patrick Owens, have served up a variety of locally-sourced dishes during past festivals that falls no short of extraordinary.
