Dallas-based Prophets and Outlaws has scored yet another music spot on the hit ABC show “Nashville” with their song “Sweet Soft Southern Smile.” That episode will air TONIGHT (Wednesday, November 11th) at 10|9 pm Central.
This marks the band’s second music spot on the show within a month’s time. Their previous spot with “Mexico Tonight” aired on Wednesday, October 21st.
It’s so encouraging to have two songs we wrote in my living room being played on a show as big as ‘Nashville.’” said the band’s lead guitarist, Steven Guckenheimer. “The best part is seeing our fans as excited about it as we are.”
“Sweet Soft Southern Smile” is off their first self-titled EP. To date, the band has released four acclaimed EP’s and have produced three Top 20 singles on the Texas Music Chart with “Soul Shop,” (one of the fastest climbing singles on the TMC) “Shine On Me” and “Texas Home.”
Their soulful, contemporary blues sound has generated a huge buzz among industry folks and music fans. They were invited to perform on the main stage at the renown Larry Joe Taylor Music Fest in 2015, performed for over 30,000 people at Dallas’ American Airlines Center on New Year’s Eve, and have had their songs played regularly at the Dallas Stars and Texas Rangers homes games.
