Country sweetheart, Kelsea Ballerini, makes her co-hosting debut tonight on the season premiere of ABC’s new summer show “Greatest Hits” at 9|8CT.
The “Love Me Like You Mean It” singer joins Arsenio Hall to host the new music series that will air over six weeks and highlight the biggest hits performed by legendary artists, as well as, some of today’s hottest acts. There will also be several solo performances, never-before-seen duets and tributes leading up the live season finale on August 4th.
According to Variety, the unscripted singing show will feature music icons and today’s artists performing popular songs from the 1980s, ’90s and ’00s. Each episode will highlight a select five year period of music.
Hall and Ballerini explained to E! News during a visit to the set that it’s not a reality show or a contest…
It’s just a show honoring great music and great artists,” Ballerini said.
Ballerini, has had a few previous hosting gigs, including last year’s CMA Nominations telecast with co-host Steven Tyler.
Previously sharing the stage with Alan Jackson, Lady Antebellum, Tim McGraw, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban, she recently returned from her first international trek to Australia to perform at the ‘Country CMC Rocks Festival’ and will join select dates this spring with Billy Currington and Rascal Flatts.
