{Listen} Does Sugarland Prove They Are “Still The Same”?

GRAMMY, CMA and ACM Award-winning Country duo Sugarland recently released their new single, “Still The Same,” to all digital partners. It’s been five years since we’ve heard new music from country duo Sugarland, and it was worth the wait!

We are thrilled for fans to hear our new music, especially this new single,” said Jennifer Nettles. “The title of the song is so meaningful to us as we want fans to know, we are still the same, we are still the same Sugarland they’ve known and loved.” “We want to finish where we left off. We always knew were going to make music again, so this has been the best of both worlds. We were able to take time to feed our personal passions, and we’re excited to come back together to create music as a band again,” Kristian Bush added.

The lyrics of “Still the Same” serve as an anthem to reintroduce Sugarland to their longtime fans, but also remaining a little big vague enough to be taken literally as a love song.

“And here we are / We’ve come so far / Let’s leave it better than how it came / Don’t be afraid to change / Our love is still the same, still the same, still the same”

Sugarland’s new song is part of a joint agreement with Big Machine Records and their longtime label home UMG Nashville…(with more music in the works!) They’re currently scheduled to perform as part of ‘Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2018′ as well as Europe’s C2C: Country 2 Country Festival in March.
