Congratulations: Carly Pearce Receives First ACM Nomination While 35K Feet In The Air!

Carly Pearce found out about getting her Academy of Country Music Award nomination in the most unlikely way…while she was 35,000 feet in the air!

The “New Female Vocalist of the Year” nominee actually found out while she was onboard a Southwest flight this morning, and the crew had some fun announcing the news to everyone on the flight. As you can tell, Carly was over the moon about her first nomination, and everyone else on-board shared the excitement. Check out the cute video here!

The “Hide the Wine” singer shared a photo of herself alongside the rest of the plane as she revealed she couldn’t “put into words” just how much the moment meant to her…

WHEN YOU’RE 35,000 FT IN THE AIR & FIND OUT YOU JUST GOT YOUR FIRST ACM AWARD NOMINATION FOR NEW FEMALE VOCALIST OF THE YEAR!!! 😭🍾 I can’t put into words how I feel– THANK YOU ACM – Academy of Country Music!!!!!”

The Kentucky native’s second single, “Hide the Wine,” is climbing the chart now. We’ll find out if she takes home the trophy Sunday, April 15th, when the 53 rd  ACM Awards air live at 8:00 p.m. ET on CBS.

Carly will be touring with country superstars throughout 2018, including Blake Shelton on the “Country Music Freaks Tour,” Thomas Rhett on the “Life Changes Tour,” Rascal Flatts on the “Back To Us Tour” and Luke Bryan’s “What Makes You Country Tour” in the fall.
