Keith Urban Added To the Lineup of Artists to Perform at “ACM Presents: Tim McGraw’s Superstar Summer Night”

The ACM PRESENTS: TIM McGRAW’S SUPERSTAR SUMMER NIGHT, tapes Monday, April 8, 2013 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and Keith Urban has been added to the lineup of artists already scheduled to perform during this two-hour, star-studded concert.

The two-hour event will benefit ACM Lifting Lives, which is the philanthropic arm of the Academy of Country Music dedicated to improving lives through the power of music and will be broadcast at a later date on CBS Television Network.

“I hope I can help turn the fans on to some of the best live music that will be on the road this summer and really put a spotlight on the ones I know they won’t want to miss,” said McGraw. “I also feel a responsibility to help raise some money and awareness for ACM Lifting Lives and all the good work they do. They supported me last summer with our HomeFront program and helped me give away a house to a Veteran in need in every market we played in, so I’m excited to get some of my friends together and repay the favor.”

The collaboration of artists coming together for this benefit is not confined to country music acts. Thus far, the Academy of Country Music and dick clark productions have announced the following lineup:

  • Dierks Bentley
  • Keith Urban
  • Lady Antebellum
  • Pitbull
  • Jason Aldean
  • Luke Bryan
  • Taylor Swift
  • Ne-Yo
  • And of course, Tim McGraw

ACM Lifting Lives® is the charitable arm of the Academy of Country Music dedicated to improving lives through the power of music. With the help of country music artists, the music industry and other caring supporters, the Academy is able to give back by funding a variety of amazing ACM_LiftingLives_blackorganizations that are music-focused – such as partnering with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, providing immediate financial assistance through their Diane Holcomb Emergency Relief Fund and three official annual giving opportunities: the Lifting Lives Grant Cycle, the ACM Awards and the ACM Entertainer of the Year Matching Gift.

Christine McDonald

Christine McDonald has been writing since she was old enough to hold a pencil and a thought. Her pastimes growing up were singing, dancing, writing and plunking out tunes on a little toy piano. Singing "All You Need Is Love", Christine made her debut where most performers get their start - in a little joint called the bathroom. In 2004 she joined the Boston chapter of (NSAI) and studied songwriting. Christine's a bona fide music junkie, toe-tapping even to commercials but "She's Country" at heart. Combining her love of the arts, singing, dancing, songwriting and writing, it's no surprise Christine took to Freelance Writing as a Profession. When Christine's not writing for the entertainment industry she's usually plucking out articles or web writing for the Holistic Health Industry. Christine's also a Master Reiki Practitioner-Teacher of the Japanese Healing Art of Reiki. You can check it all out at her website. And nobody says it like Kenny Chesney, but "She's from Boston" !!!
