We’re Still Marveling Over This Year’s ACM Awards Duets…

As country music fans we’re all still coming down off the high from the 2017 Academy of Country Music Awards we all wish we could have seen live from Sin City this past Sunday. The 52nd annual event held in Las Vegas was hosted for the first time at the city’s new environmentally green venue, T-Mobile Arena. Chock-full of stellar performances by country’s hottest artists and current nominees, we look back on the awesome duets that ensued throughout the evening.

Following a medley by the five “Entertainer of the Year” nominees, our favorite hosts Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley teamed up with the Eagles’ Joe Walsh for a tribute to the late legendary rock & roll icon Chuck Berry. In an awesome display of hammers and strings Bryan rocked the piano keys while Bentley and Walsh slayed their guitars to Berry’s hit “Johnny B. Goode”.

Following a soulful black and white run through of his hit “Blue Ain’t Your Color”, our favorite Australian cowboy Keith Urban was joined by vocal powerhouse Carrie Underwood for a beautiful performance of their hit tune “The Fighter”.

Country music’s hottest couple Tim McGraw and Faith Hill turned the heat up during their TV debut of their latest single “Speak to a Woman”. Their performance was sensual as always and who didn’t love Faith’s little hop right into Tim’s arms at the end?!

Thomas Rhett was joined by Maren Morris who would also debut their new song, “Craving You”. With flawless execution the pair proved why he left as “Male Vocalist of the Year” and she took home “Best New Female Vocalist”.

The “Queen of Country” Reba McEntire along with Christian artist Lauren Daigle earned a standing ovation after hitting some incredible harmonies on their newest single “Back to God”.

Pop-country duo Florida Georgia Line brought the 20,000 capacity venue to their feet when they were joined by popular 90s boy band the Backstreet Boys. Together the bands performed their latest collaboration “God, Your Mama, And Me” before they out-turned a dynamic rendition of BSB’s hit “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)” to a priceless jaw-dropping reaction from Tim McGraw.

What was your favorite 2017 ACM duet moment?
