Watch Here: Emily Hackett Releases Official Music Video For “Nostalgia”

Nashville newcomer and country& pop artist Emily Hackett released her brand new throwback single  “Nostalgia” earlier this month, and the track’s official video made it’s debut yesterday on Country Fancast.

The single, co-written by Steph Jones (Nashville Songs and Music of Big Deal) and Mike Reaves (Universal Music Publishing) is Emily’s first release since her 2015 release “The Raw EP” and her 2014 collaboration with Parachute’s Will Anderson, “Take My Hand (The Wedding Song)”, which currently has almost 2 million streams on Spotify.

I loved the guitar loop we wrote it over,” Emily explains. “I couldn’t put a finger on it. It was just the way it sounded, I felt like I was in a scene from high school or something. It was nostalgic. But then I thought, what if we personified nostalgia? What if we gave that feeling a life? I said those first few words, ‘I’m the red balloon at the carnival,’ and next thing we knew it was 1AM and we had this song we were all obsessed with.”

Emily’s video was chosen to be a part of CMT’s Artist Discovery Program, receiving 6+ weeks of airplay on CMT Music. The track was also put into rotation on Radio Disney Country…

Emily will be performing at The Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles on September 19th at 6:00 pm. For tickets and more information, please click here.
