Charlie’s turning 80 and he’s invited ALL of Nashville to his party!

It’s no secret that Charlie Daniels is one of music’s most decorated artists. Throughout his over 50 year career span he has taken home multiple Grammy’s, numerous ACM, BMI & CMA awards, became a member of the Grand Ole Opry and was just recently inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.

Since 1974 Charlie Daniel’s has been hosting a concert where he invites his friends, who happen to be some of music’s most elite performers to drop in and “jam” onstage with him.  Although the title “Volunteer Jam” implies volunteering to participate, which his musically gifted friends do indeed volunteer to do (really who wouldn’t want to hop on stage with this legend) the title actually stems from Tennessee’s nickname “The Volunteer State”.

Charlie has never been one to categorize his style of music and friends from all genres from classical to rock show up for the event.  Throughout the years some of music’s greatest artists have joined the jam including Roy Acuff, Lynard Skynard, Don Henley & Garth Brooks to name a few!

This year’s jam is scheduled for November 28th at The Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN and could be the best one yet!  Daniel’s has combined his 80th birthday bash with the 41st Volunteer Jam and as usual some of the biggest names in the industry plan on popping in the help celebrate!

Travis TrittThis year’s guest list includes Travis Tritt, Kid Rock and current chart topper Chris Stapleton!  A slew of other amazing artists plan on attending as well and you could be there too!  Tickets are currently on sale and start at just $25!  Nowhere but Nashville are you able to see so much talent in one night for such a low ticket fee!

Plus, a portion of the proceeds go to charity!  That’s right…  Mr. Daniel’s is a true American patriot and created his own 501c non-profit The Journey Home Project which provides assistance to military veterans.

I was at last year’s Volunteer Jam where over $300,000 was raised for this great charity and I am eagerly awaiting this year’s show which is bound to be a record breaker!  So snag your tickets on Ticketmaster and I’ll see y’all there!
