Toby Keith Announced As Country Radio Seminar 2017 Featured Speaker

toby-keithCountry Radio Seminar Announces 2017 Guest Speaker Toby Keith: My Way Country Radio Seminar is a annual event hosted in Nashville created to promote industry growth through education by sharing business practices and ideas between Country Radio and the Country Music Industry.

The 3 day event will be held at the Omni Hotel in downtown Nashville, TN from February 22-24, 2017.  The discussion lead by RJ Curtis and Beverlee Branigan includes a feature appearance by country star Toby Keith: who’s presentation “My Way” is slotted for Friday, February 24th from 3-4pm CT.  This will be Keith’s first time back since 2007 where he was a headline artist for CRS’s Music City Jam.

Oklahoma native Toby Keith rode into country music in 1993 with his debut hit song “Should’ve Been A Cowboy”.  Written by Keith himself, the song entered the US Hot Country Songs chart at #69 and quickly lassoed the #1 spot.

It seems listeners couldn’t get enough of the tune  referencing western heroes and singing cowboys; according to BMI, the song has had over 3 million spins and was the most played country song of the 90s.  Previously signed with Mercury then DreamWorks, Keith eventually founded his own label Show Dog Nashville.  He is not only a singer, he works on every aspect of his music.  He’s a songwriter and producer, arranging and releasing his own music and he’s got quite a list of accolades to prove he’s pretty dang good at what he does.

Keith has sold over 40 million copies of his 23 albums and has charted an impressive sixty-one singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart; scoring twenty #1 hits and another twenty-one top 10 hits.  Commercial radio has played his songs more than 87 million times.

He has taken home 4 American Music Awards, 7 Academy of Country Music Awards- including the honorable Career Achievement Award, 2 Country Music Association Awards, has been named Billboard’s Artist of the Decade, was named Songwriter/Artist of the Decade by the Nashville Songwriters Association and is a three-time BMI Country Songwriter/Artist of the Year.  Furthermore, last year he was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

Toby Keith’s list of music accolades is mind boggling in itself.  However, he is also a huge humanitarian and his big heart is easily noticed when looking at his long list of charitable attributes worldwide; some of which include: the Toby Keith Foundation’s golf classic which funds the OK Kids Korral- providing no cost homes for families with children who have critical illnesses, he has performed 11 USO tours receiving the Spirit of the USO Award in 2014, he filmed a PSA titled Little Kids Rock advocating for music restoration in disadvantaged US schools, he supports Ally’s House- a non-profit aid for children with cancer in Oklahoma and he hosted the 2013 OK Relief concert when a tornado tore through his hometown.  In recognition of acts like these more Toby Keith was presented the Country Radio Broadcast Artist Humanitarian Award in 2007.

Some twenty some years later Keith is still roping fans and stealing the airwaves. His latest single “A Few More Cowboys” reached #47 on Us Country Airplay Charts.

Toby is currently promoting his headlining tour “The Interstates & Tailgates Tour”, sponsored by Ford F-Series.  Find out the latest about his tour and everything Toby at tobykeith.com and be sure to follow him on Facebook and Twitter.

Toby Keith is an honorable, interesting and inspirational man and his appearance at Country Radio Seminar this coming year is set to be amazing.  For tickets and more information about CRS please go to countryradioseminar.com and follow them on Facebook and Twitter as well.
