Ryan Hurd recently celebrated a special day with Luke Bryan’s hit, “Sunrise, Sunburn, Sunset.” The single was the Michigan native’s second number one hit on the Billboard Country Airplay chart. Hurd also had a part in writing songs for some of country music’s biggest stars such as Tim McGraw, Lady Antebellum, Dierks Bentley, Jake Owen, Florida Georgia Line, Jake Owen, Brothers Osborne, Rascal Flatts, and his wife, Maren Morris.
The singer-songwriter recently released his follow-up song to “Diamonds Or Twine” with the release of “To a T”, which features Morris on harmony vocals during the chorus. The new track is only a taste of what’s to come from Hurd’s upcoming debut album via RCA Records Nashville. The song already has over 1.95 million streams on Spotify!
I love seeing fans that have waited for a long time to hear music from me really reacting to the song. I love seeing it in new playlists and hearing it on the radio for the first time. I was on the phone with Maren when my mom texted us both saying it was on Bobby’s show, so we listened to it together through the speaker on my phone! It was an awesome moment, ” Ryan tells Country Music Pride.
In the song’s intimate second verse, Hurd pleads, “Stay here ’til sunrise, I wanna know you like it’s the last time I’ll ever hold you,” as light touches of percussion swirl in the background.
