Rising country star Jenny Tolman is making a big splash this summer with the release of her new single “Rock and Roll to My Country Soul” on Friday, August 3rd. The song, produced by Grammy-nominated Dave Brainard (Brandy Clark, Jerrod Neimann, Sunny Sweeney), is the second single off her upcoming album “There Goes The Neighborhood”.
“Rock and Roll to My Country Soul” is an authentic mix of old time rock n’ roll and classic country. Tolman brings the grit of the south and the glam of Nashville into one spectacular listen.
I’m excited to release ‘Rock & Roll to My Country Soul’ because it shows another side of me and my music,” she tells Taste of Country in their premiere of the song. “I have so many different influences across all genres, and even though I’m country at heart, it was fun to bring in a little rock & roll into the mix. It’s one of my favorites to play live, so the band and I really get to have fun with it.”
“Rock and Roll to My Country Soul” follows the success of her debut single “Something to Complain About,” which reached No. 1 on CMT’s 12 Pack of Country countdown. Tolman has already been named a “Top 10 Country Artist You Need to Know” by Rolling Stone and her show was named a “Top 20 Free Concerts at CMA Fest 2018.” No stranger to the stage, she’s opened for a number of country music favorites like Alabama, Lee Ann Womack, Michael Ray, Brandy Clark and Cole Swindell.
You can catch her in Nashville at Lightning 100’s Sunday Night Series with Adam Hood at 3rd & Lindsley on Sunday August 12th at 8:00 pm.
