Rising Country Songstress Liddy Clark Releases Debut EP Today

Rising country songstress Liddy Clark releases her debut EP “Testing The Waters” and dazzling new track “Holding Her Hand” today. Adding to the excitement, her innovative video for standout song “I Hope You Dance,” directed by Katrina Tandy and filmed in Los Angeles, CA, premiered exclusively with The Boot !

I’ve been working so hard on getting these songs right and am so excited to share the finished product with the world,” shares Clark. “Especially releasing ‘Holding Her Hand,’ a song I wrote a few years ago and always knew was special. It talks about the loss that comes with moving on and seeing the person you thought you’d be with spending their time with another person.”

Bringing both heart-on-sleeve honesty and real-life detail to each track, “Testing The Waters” shifts from the wistful romanticism and cascading guitar work of “Falling Into You” to the piercing heartbreak and aching harmonies of “Holding Her Hand” to the no-regrets attitude and fierce riffs of “Single on Valentine’s Day.” On “I Hope You Dance,” Clark teams up with her cousin Drew Womack, formerly with Sons of the Desert, who provided backup vocals on the original Lee Ann Womack ballad. And on “Painted By Numbers,” Clark closes out Testing the Waters with a quietly intense, string-laced reflection on body image and self-empowerment.

“Testing The Waters” Complete Track Listing:

  1. Falling Into You

  2. Holding Her Hand

  3. Single On Valentine’s Day

  4. I Hope You Dance (feat. Drew Womack)
