With Christmas only a couple of months away, LeAnn Rimes is already prepared for the holiday season. And this year it will include a new Christmas album and conjoining tour. Her new album, Today Is Christmas, which officially drops today, October 16th.
There is something special about the spirit of the holidays, people are inclined to be more gracious and giving,” the Grammy winner says of the season. “Emotions also tend to be elevated during the holidays — whether we miss a family member no longer with us or we feel five years old again opening a gift on Christmas morning. Joy, longing, happiness, surprise; I want that full gambit of emotions to radiate from my music.”

The “Blue” singer has announced that she will be hitting the road on her annual holiday tour. This year appropriately named the “Today Is Christmas Tour,” will begin on December 4th in Tacoma, WA.
I wait for Christmas all year long; it’s my absolute favorite holiday;” Rimes says in a statement. “I can’t wait to share some of my new, original Christmas songs with my fans, as well as my favorite classics. I am looking forward to making more holiday memories with my fans this year.”
Singer-songwriter, Ellee Duke, will be joining Rimes on the “Today Is Christmas Tour” as her opening act.
