Decked out in a power suit and flanked by the all-female mariachi band Las Mariachis, Margo Price stopped by Conan last night to spread the news on wage inequality…just in time for International Women’s Day. With “Inclusion Rider” scrawled in tape across the front of her guitar, Price performed “Pay Gap”, the feminist’s lament from her new album ‘All American Made’ (Third Man Records).
Price’s headline ‘Nowhere Fast’ tour has already sold out 12 dates in advance (in addition to 2 shows at the legendary Ryman Auditorium in Nashville this May), with the LA times writing of a recent performance: “She can drink with the outlaws, brood with the writers and turn on the waterworks with the best balladeers.”
Blackfoot Gypsies and Aaron Lee Tasjan will be joining for April support…full dates and on-sale info here.
Price’s 2016 debut, ‘Midwest Farmer’s Daughter’ earned her performances on SNL, Fallon, Colbert, Seth Meyers, Charlie Rose, CBS This Morning and more. She kicked off a run of tour dates with Chris Stapleton, and later this year she’ll also play dates with Willie Nelson, Eric Church, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill and others.
