Kelly Clarkson shocked the crowd during a sold-out show at Los Angeles’ Staples Center Wednesday night. The 1st ever American Idol winner revealed that she is pregnant with her second child.
Clarkson was very emotional while singing her ballad, Piece by Piece, the title track from her latest album. Explaining her emotional state, she blurted out to the crowd that she was expecting in a last minute decision.
I was not planning on announcing this, but I am totally pregnant,” Clarkson said.
The crowd was ecstatic and after the crowd calmed down, she went on to share that she was nervous to see husband, Brandon Blackstock, after she revealed the news because they had not told all of their family and friends the news yet.
I have to apologize. That wasn’t planned. I didn’t want you to think I was crazy or something.” Clarkson added, “Honestly, I’m so hormonal today. Nothing’s wrong. Everything’s great.”
Clarkson married Blackstock back in October of 2013 and they are parents to 14-month old River Rose who was born in June of 2014
