For Anderson himself, the single was born out of a sincere thankfulness for all the opportunities he’s been given to pursue his country music career.

I’ve always loved the Lord and been very thankful He’s allowed me to do what I do. That’s a pretty good message for anybody, no matter whether they like the song or not,” said Anderson.

JohnAnderson_Goldmine_AlbumArt_ForWeb_ResWhen asked what was different about “Goldmine” than his other albums he has done in the past, Anderson told Country Music Pride:

Well, one thing that is different from the last four or five albums that we produced is the fact that I went into the studio with my good friend, Joe Spivey and produced the record without any other opinions or influence. We had a great group of players and were left to go in and do these songs again just the way we thought they ought to go. And that’s pretty much the way Goldmine turned out!”

The album features 12 tracks either written or co-written by Anderson and leadoff single “I Work A Lot Better” which hit country radio back on May 11th and is available for download on iTunes, Amazon and other major digital retailers.
