ICYMI: Morgan Evans Shines On NBC’s ‘Today’ With “Things That We Drink To” Performance

Warner Music Nashville / Warner Bros. Records artist Morgan Evans celebrated the release of his debut album, “Things That We Drink To”, with a performance Thursday morning on NBC’s ‘TODAY’. Chatting with hosts Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb about his recent life-changing moments, Evans showcased his one of a kind flair during his morning television debut with the chart-topping single “Kiss Somebody,” using his signature loop pedal and an acoustic guitar.

The bucket-list appearance capped off a whirlwind release week for the singer-songwriter, with “Things That We Drink To” available everywhere now. Praised for his “eclectic musicality” and “relentless optimism” (MusicRow) throughout the album, Evans co-wrote each of the 11 personal tracks. The dynamic talent also played the instruments heard across the project, alongside producer Chris DeStefano.

Toasting to the album’s launch, Evans threw a blowout concert and release party in another major U.S. city, taking the stage at Joe’s on Weed St. in Chicago, IL on October 13th. Taste of Country stated the magnetic entertainer treated the Windy City to “a night of sheer talent” as he performed tracks from the new release, including current chart-rising single “Day Drunk.”

Fans across the country can hear new music from with “Things That We Drink To” live throughout the end of the year, as Evans continues on Chris Young’s “Losing Sleep World Tour” with upcoming shows in Evansville, IN (Oct. 25th), Milwaukee, WI (Oct. 26th) and Champaign, IL (Oct. 27th). He’s also set to join Old Dominion on the “Make It Sweet Tour”, beginning January 2019.
