Frankie Ballard rises to the top again with his 2nd #1 hit, “Sunshine & Whiskey” which is #1 on both the Mediabase and Billboard Country Airplay Charts this week. The catchy ballad has sold well over 500,000 copies to date. Country music is about life…we all have the same emotions and distractions and this song interprets those feel good feelings perfectly.
“I’m so grateful to be here at the top again! We’re still celebrating ‘Helluva Life’ and now we’re back… I’m feeling VERY blessed! This is what you dream of and work for and I’m so grateful to Country Radio for playing my music and the fans for supporting me,” stated Ballard in a recent interview.
Ballard set to celebrate with fans nationwide on his first headlining tour, Light ‘Em Up, and part of the exclusive Live Nation Ones To Watch tour with Skype. The tour will run stops in 19 different cities throughout December with upcoming shows in Houston, TX, New Orleans, LA, and San Antonio, TX tonight! The Michigan native will also be playing at his annual hometown holiday show in Kalamazoo at the State Theatre on Saturday, December 20th, and is also set to perform during the Hollywood Christmas at the Grove special, a one-hour syndicated television tree-lighting hosted by Nancy O’Dell.

Ballard is taking in all the success of “Sunshine & Whiskey” after he made the move to Nashville, TN in 2009 from Battle Creek, MI, to pursue his music career, as he should be. With his working class values, he has performed every chance he can and honed in his guitar and songwriting skills. His fan base continues to grow more and more as Ballard grows as an artist and an individual. All of these experiences come together in the release of his current album, Sunshine & Whiskey, which holds his first #1, gold-certified hit tune “Helluva Life,” which debuted in the Top 5 on the Billboard Country Albums Chart and Rolling Stone endorses as “required listening”. That’s huge!
Produced by Marshall Altman (Marc Broussard), the new album captures Ballard’s unique blend of blues & country infused rock and his undeniable guitar ability on every song. Having previously opened for Jake Owen, Rascal Flatts, Kenny Chesney, Taylor Swift and longtime idol Bob Seger, the talented artist will rev it up even more this next year on the Florida Georgia Line 2015 “Anything Goes’ Tour.
