Emily Hackett Releases New Throwback Single “Nostalgia”

Nashville newcomer and country-pop artist Emily Hackett released her brand new throwback single “Nostalgia” this week. The single, co-written by Steph Jones and Mike Reaves is Emily’s first release since her 2015 release “The Raw EP” and her 2014 collaboration with Parachute’s Will Anderson, “Take My Hand (The Wedding Song)”, which currently has almost 2 million streams on Spotify.

I loved the guitar loop we wrote it over,” Emily explains. “I couldn’t put a finger on it. It was just the way it sounded, I felt like I was in a scene from high school or something. It was nostalgic. But then I thought, what if we personified nostalgia? What if we gave that feeling a life? I said those first few words, ‘I’m the red balloon at the carnival,’ and next thing we knew it was 1AM and we had this song we were all obsessed with.”

Emily Hackett speaks the truth…the singer/songwriter raised in Atlanta, GA pulls these emotions into her music, stirring in an authentic blend of self-deprecation that is both unique and refreshing. What poises her against the rest of the soul of fiery artist ready to light up the stage, all the while still as honest as her southern roots.

Emily will be performing at The Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles on September 19th at 6:00pm. For tickets and more information, please click here.
