Digital Rodeo Announces Its Line-Up For July 7th DRX Showcase

Online social network and country lifestyle portal, Digital Rodeo, has announced their artist line-up and guest host for the upcoming DRX Artist Showcase, which will be held Tuesday, July 7th at 6:00 p.m. at Nashville’s 3rd and Lindsley Bar & Grill.

Dove award-winning and Grammy-nominated artist Ty Herndon will host the July showcase, which will feature performances by Brian CollinsCarissa LeighSarah RossNick Sturms and Amy Wilcox. The DRX monthly showcase highlights some of the platform’s most up and coming Country acts and will help to promote some of the website’s featured independent artists.

While working as a professional photographer and getting her Master’s degree, Carissa knew she would never forgive herself if she did not pursue her true passion of creating music. So, she packed up and moved to Nashville to find a sound of her own. Carissa’s optimistic and playful personality reveal themselves in both her music and performance, which has always been her goal.
“My hopes, dreams, and fears are like so many other women. I want my music to connect with them and be relatable as well as enjoyable to listen to,” she says.

Sarah Ross: 
At 19, Sarah is being called upon to forge the trail for women in the fast-growing Country/Rap/Hip Hop genres of music. The New Jersey native is no stranger to forging Country music lyrics with a hip-hop beat. Signed to Average Joes Entertainment after the label head, Shannon Houchins, saw her on “American Idol” and looked up her videos on the internet, Sarah has been in Nashville one short year yet has already found recording success.

Nick Sturms:
 With debut single “Amen” now playing on Country radio and an album release tour in the works for this spring, 2015 is off to a good start for Nick. The singer-songwriter from Austin, TX has had a successful career in songwriting since the young age of 16 when he landed a publishing deal and, shortly after, was touring the country, playing lead guitar for several different national acts.

Amy Wilcox:
Amy was a featured cast member on A&E’s “Crazy Hearts: Nashville”— a reality show that documented the lives of up-and-coming Nashville artists. Amy Wilcox’s new single, “Summer In Slow Motion,” is an upbeat summer party anthem that is now available on iTunes, Amazon and other major digital retailers. She is set to release a new EP later this year.
