David Nailed It In 2014

This past June I recall strolling down by the riverfront stage here in Nashville during the annual CMAFest. Just meandering listlessly past excited tourists occasionally browsing overpriced trinkets and allowing my reverie to sail away on a cloud of whimsy. I heard the song “Whatever She’s Got” being played from the stage followed by “Red Light”. I remembered how much I liked that song but never realized it was the same singer. I did some more listening research and have been a David Nail fan ever since.

Though David’s voice does not hold a truly unique or recondite quality, his sheer talent and undeniable vocal ability is impeccable. And apparently I am not the only who thinks so. Billboard has named the Grammy nominated artist’s latest album I’m A Fire no. 4 on it’s top country albums of 2014. Rolling Stone Country and iTunes also placed I’m A Fire among the best country albums of the past year, respectively.

The song that took David to no. 1 this year, “Whatever She’s Got”, landed the Missouri native one of Billboard’s top 3 country songs of 2014. The follow up single, “Kiss You Tonight” is already floating up the top 20.

This all comes off the heels of David’s I’m A Fire Tour which Rolling Stone Country named one of the must see country shows this past fall. The Tour kicks off again February 7 in Springfield, IL on it’s winter leg.
