Country Music Wins Big At “People’s Choice” Awards

The People’s Choice Awards aired Wednesday night, January 6th, naming three country acts honors in the fan-voted contest.

Blake Shelton earned favorite “Male Country Artist”, Carrie Underwood was given the trophy for “Favorite Country Female” and Lady Antebellum took home the award for “Favorite Country Group.”

In addition to the three country categories, The Voice (Co-judged by Blake) was also named “Favorite Competition TV Show” for the third consecutive year in a row.

Luke Bryan scored two nominations as well, while Taylor Swift received several of her own nominations, including all-genre categories “Favorite Female Artist” and “Favorite Social Media Celebrity.”

The next awards show on the calendar is the 58th annual Grammy Awards, which will air February 15th at 8 PM|ET on CBS.
