I’ve always loved Brenda Lee’s version of ‘Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree’ (hence why I recorded a version of my own for this holiday season!). It takes me back to when I was a kid and my Mom and I singing would sing along to her version and try to mimic her incredible voice while we were on route to Christmas shop.

I’ve got 2 favorite Christmas songs. Dale Watson’s “Christmas Time In Texas” is one of ’em because it’s a good song and Dale’s just cooler-n-hell. The other is Johnny Paycheck’s “Honky Tonk Christmas” because they used to play it over & over every Christmas season at the honky tonk I grew up in, Burrelle’s Place in Walhalla SC just across the state-line

Charlie: “My favorite Christmas song is ‘Silent Night.’ When I was young, my parents would take me to church on Christmas Eve. Near the end of the service, the congregation would light candles that had been passed out. We would join and sing an A Cappella version of ‘Silent Night.’
Gary: “My favorite Christmas song is ‘Mary Did You Know.’ I played it at a Christmas recital when I was young. I have always loved the melody and chord progression.
