Chris Stapleton’s “From A Room: Volume 1” debuted this week at #1 on the BillboardCountry Albums chart and #2 on the Billboard Top 200 chart with over 218,000 first-week sales.
The album also landed at #1 on the Billboard Top Album Sales chart with 202,000 in pure album units. This is the strongest sales week by a country artist since Luke Bryan’s Kill The Lights in 2015 and, with its 13.5 million audio on-demand streams, is the highest streaming debut for a country artist to date.
Out now on Mercury Records Nashville (get your copy here), “From A Room: Volume 1” is the first new music from Stapleton since 2015’s breakthrough double Platinum solo debut “Traveller” and will be followed by “From A Room: Volume 2″…which is coming later this year.
In celebration of the release, Stapleton recently joined legendary journalist and talk show host Charlie Rose for a special interview on the PBS program. The visit also included a performance of Stapleton’s new single, “Either Way.”
Additionally last week, Stapleton made his debut on “The Howard Stern Show” performing “Broken Halos” and returned to “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” performing “I Was Wrong.” While at “The Tonight Show,” Stapleton also joined Fallon and fellow guest Kevin Bacon for the latest installment of “First Drafts of Rock.”
In support of the album, “Chris Stapleton’s All-American Road Show” tour will span throughout 2017 including a newly added second and final show at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on October 14th in response to demand.
Special guests for the extensive tour include Brothers Osborne, Lucie Silvas, Anderson East, Brent Cobb, Margo Price and Marty Stuart. Of a recent performance, the Seattle Times declares…

Exclusive Stapleton Fan Club pre-sales for the concert will begin tomorrow, May 16th at 10:00am local time with public tickets on-sale Friday, May 19th at 10:00am local time.
