Charles Kelley Debuts New Video For “The Driver”

Charles Kelley has released a brand new video for “The Driver.” Released to radio just recently, his first solo the tune has been praised by both critics and fans. It also features friends and label mates, Dierks Bentley and Eric Paslay.

The video mirrors the song’s thoughtfulness and adds a unique twist to the story, considering how much Kelley has achieved as an artist from #1 hits, a vast fan base to multiple Grammy awards. The single depicts Kelley’s matchless point of view of the hours spent on the road pursuing his lifelong dream. It is evident through his flawless voice in addition to the unique style of his special guests.

It takes a whole circus of people on the road to get from city to city each night,” said Kelley. “This song pretty much sums up the last eight years of my life in four minutes, so I wanted the video to include some of the people behind-the-scenes who help us live this crazy dream before the show starts and the fans that bring it all to life. ”

The music video for the “behind-the-scenes story-song allowing us a peek at the people who keep the music on the road, and its dreams alive” (All Access) was shot last month and directed by TK McKamy.

From the jumpseat of his tour bus, Kelley catches the break of dawn before a standout performance with Dierks Bentley and Eric Paslay at Nashville’s War Memorial Auditorium. Watch the video for “The Driver” here:
