Living up to his Renegade status, Brantley Gilbert has embarked on a motorcycle ride with Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) to celebrate the May 18th release of “Just As I Am Platinum Edition”. The trek marks the 2nd year in a row the Georgia native has embarked on this type of journey, launching the standard album with 2014’s Athens to Arlington.
This full-throttle project serves as a thank you to the loyal BG nation for their support and contribution to the tremendous success of 2014’s “Just As I Am”, his album which earned him the AMA’s Favorite Country Album and produced the 2X Platinum #1 smash “Bottoms Up” and Gold-certified “Small Town Throwdown.” The latter of which is nominated for Collaborative Video of the Year at the CMT Music Awards alongside labelmates Justin Moore and Thomas Rhett. The hitmaker’s 3rd studio album was the third-highest Country debut of 2014 and earned a Top 5 spot as one of the Best Selling Country Albums of 2014.

“It’s been a wild ride with this album. I put pen to paper and let the blood, sweat and tears of the last few years create these stories,” said Brantley. “A huge thanks goes out to the BG Nation for all the support. I’m excited to bring this new music to the fans – my friends – and kick it all off with a ride to benefit a cause that is so important to me.”
An avid supporter of the military, Brantley draws inspiration for his music from the strength and courage our servicemen and women exhibit, as reflected in his current single, “One Hell Of An Amen.” The longtime motorcycle rider will help introduce the WWP “Rolling Odyssey” program, a therapeutic ride for combat veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and readjustment challenges, in conjunction with sharing his new music. This program is part of WWP’s alliance with Harley-Davidson, and it will include stops at several Harley-Davidson dealerships along the route.
“Wounded Warrior Project is grateful for Brantley’s support of the WWP mission, to honor and empower Wounded Warriors. Our warriors are excited to get out on the open road and ride their Harleys alongside Brantley in this inaugural Rolling Odyssey event.” The ride will kick off next Friday May 22nd in Houston as ten Wounded Warrior Project Alumni join Brantley and his road crew for five stops in four cities over 48 hours. Raising dust and a little hell, the troupe will roll into Bayou Country Superfest on Saturday, May 23rd for Brantley’s performance at LSU Tiger Stadium.
