Lukas Nelson recently premiered “Just Outside Of Austin”…a sentimental, breezy ode to the Live Music Capital of the World…at Texas Monthly. It’s one of Lukas’s tenderest vocal turns, and it gets an assist from Lukas’s father Willie Nelson, who contributes a delicately understated guitar solo, and his Aunt Bobbi on the twinkling piano intro.

Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real’ is out Friday, August 25th on Fantasy/Concord. With production by John Alagia , the album chronicles the 28-year-old’s ten-year transformation into a bona fide rock star. Lucius and Lady Gaga each lend background vocals to multiple tracks, but the project is a true testament to Nelson’s “frenetic energy” and “infectious charisma” states Rolling Stone.
