NASCAR Is Receiving Some “Sunshine” Courtesy Of Blake Shelton

Blake Shelton is set to make his NASCAR debut on Sunday, July 5th at the Daytona International Speedway. While he won’t be racing, he will be performing the opening theme song Bringing Back the Sunshine, also the title track to his latest album, prior to Sunday’s Coke Zero 400 event.

Shelton’s excitement about his NASCAR participation was evident in the following statement:

“I’m so pumped that my song, Bringing Back the Sunshine, is going to be the kickoff to NBC’s coverage of NASCAR this season. Over the years, I’ve met some drivers and have become friends with them, and before you know it, I have this interwoven relationship with NASCAR — and I love it.”

Shelton and NBC Sports went to several NASCAR venues to produce the opening video, which features drivers Dale Earnhardt Jr., Clint Bowyer, Danica Patrick, Jimmie Johnson and Austin Dillon.
