Jennifer Nettles Returns To Host “CMA Country Christmas”

Jennifer Nettles will be returning for the sixth time as host of the annual “CMA Country Christmas special on ABC. This year, the holiday show moves from its usual home at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena to the Grand Ole Opry. The show tapes in front of a live audience on November 7th…just three days after the 2015 CMA Awards, with audience members being encouraged to bring a present to help Toys for Tots.

The holiday season is all about spreading joy. That’s one of my favorite things about ‘CMA Country Christmas,’” said Nettles. “The festive performances and powerful collaborations, with so many artists I admire, make this the most wonderful time of the year!”

The special is a celebration of the season featuring some of music’s top stars performing holiday classics and helping fans get into the Christmas spirit.

This year will mark the fourth year audience members will be encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to the taping to help make the holidays a little brighter for children in the Nashville area.

CMA is also partnering with Disney | ABC Television Group (DATG) and Toys for Tots for its “Share the Joy” holiday campaign to distribute the gifts to children in need. In 2014, 5,000 toys were collected at the taping!

Providing new toys for deserving children shines a spotlight on a worthy endeavor and reflects the values and spirit of giving found in our artists, industry and city,” Trahern explains.
