Jason Aldean’s “I Won’t Back Down” To Benefit Vegas

Jason Aldean’s message of unity and powerful cover of Tom Petty’s “I Won’t Back Down” on Saturday Night Live from October 7th is available now across many digital retailers and streaming services HERE and will continue to rollout with additional partners over the next few days. All proceeds raised will go towards the Direct Impact Fund to benefit victims of the Las Vegas shooting.
This week, we witnessed one of the worst tragedies in American history,” said Aldean during his cold open of Saturday Night Live on Oct. 7. “Like everyone, I’m struggling to understand what happened that night and how to pick up the pieces and start to heal. So many people are hurting. There are children, parents, brothers, sisters, friends — they’re all part of our family. So I want to say to them: We hurt for you and we hurt with you. But you can be sure we’re going to walk through these tough times together, every step of the way, because when America is at its best, our bond and our spirit, it’s unbreakable.”

The current People’s Choice Award nominee is on the road this weekend with his “They Don’t Know Tour” in Louisville, KY (Oct. 20th) and Greenville, SC (Oct. 21st), as the “crowd’s energy was a kind of healing therapy” (Rolling Stone) while Aldean has “brought the party back” and “gave fans the show they wanted” (Associated Press). For more information and for a full list of upcoming tour dates visit www.jasonaldean.com.
