Gaylord Opryland Teams With Country Icons To Get Their Favorite Charities Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree

Dolly Parton, Brenda Lee and Charlie Daniels, along with a bevy of country music icons, in association with Gaylord Opryland have teamed up to bring a special holiday to local charities and a few lucky fans.

Gaylord is renowned nationwide for their spectacular Christmas/seasonal events and displays. This year Opryland’s nine acre (yeah, nine acre) indoor garden will host 15 ornately decorated Christmas trees as part of the Parade Of Trees. Each sponsored by a celebrity, the trees will be auctioned to the highest bidder  with the proceeds going to a specific charity assigned to each. They will also be adorned with special incentives and a slew of artist swag for the benefactor.

We got a chance to preview some of the items under Dolly, Brenda and Charlie’s trees.

Dolly’s tree will be benefiting The Imagination Library and features four tickets to Dollywood including a meet & greet with miss 9-to-5 herself. Personally, I prefer to greet then meet.  Signed photos and books from both Dolly and The Imagination Library are also part of her holiday booty. (insert your own joke)

Charlie’s tree offers a trove of goodies from the man who beat the devil. Concert tickets for two 2015 concert dates, signed fiddle and case, a cornucopia of assorted collectors items and even one of his signature cowboy hats autographed by the legend himself. His tree will benefit Monroe Carell Jr Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt and Galilean Home Ministries.

The highest bidder for Brenda Lee will be rockin’ around her Christmas tree for a private lunch with Brenda at the Country Music Hall of Fame. With that includes an autographed “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree” gold record and ornament along with a gift bag from the Country Music Hall Of Fame and Museum.

Other contributors include Reba, Kenny Chesney, Little Big Town, Sara Evans, Martina McBride, LeAnn Rimes, Zac Brown Band, The Doobie Brothers and even the Country Music Association themselves. All of these incentives are worth the price of admission but the real winner here is all of the great charity foundations. So check out and decide which tree you want to bid on at OpryLandParadeOfTrees.com  from now till Dec. 31.          Merry Christmas!
