Chris Stapleton Wins Big At ACM Awards

Chris Stapleton won six awards last night at the 51st Annual ACM Awards…Album of the Year for “Traveller as both artist and producer, Song of the Year for “Nobody To Blame” as both artist and songwriter, Male Vocalist of the Year and New Male Vocalist of the Year.

With the six wins, Stapleton ties the record for most ACM Awards won in a single year…only Garth Brooks and Faith Hill have previously won six in the same year. Congratulations, Chris!

Stapleton also performed “Fire Away” on the live awards broadcast and was featured on yesterday’s “CBS News Sunday Morning”. Fans can watch the full episode here.

The awards celebrate Stapleton’s now certified RIAA Platinum debut solo album, “Traveller”. In support of the highly praised release, Stapleton will continue his extensive U.S. tour this spring and summer, including newly added dates in Chicago, Springfield, IL, Charlottesville, VA and Farmingville, NY. (See below for complete tour details).

Released last May on Mercury Records Nashville, “Traveller” initially debuted at the No. 2 spot on the Billboard Country Albums chart with 27K+ albums sold, making it one of the best-selling first weeks by a debut country artist in 2015. The album also received huge critical acclaim and has landed him bookings on multiple national TV shows including his recent appearance as musical guest on Saturday Night Live.

Earlier this year, Stapleton took home two awards at the 58th Annual Grammy Awards for Best Country Album and Best Country Solo Performance and, last November, won three awards at the 49th Annual CMA Awards for Album of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year and New Artist of the Year.
