Carrie Underwood Stars In Special “Waiting All Day For A Super Bowl Fight” Opening Theme!

Are you ready for some football! What better way to kick off the big game than to have six time Grammy Award winner Carrie Underwood to star in the special “Waiting All Day for a Super Bowl Fight” opening theme! Super Bowl XLIX will be broadcast on NBC on Sunday, February 1st from Glendale, Arizona. Coverage will kick off at noon.

The revamped opening theme for coverage of the Super Bowl will feature some new elements; including lyrics that will feature AFC champion New England Patriots and NFC champion Seattle Seahawks. And we can expect to see a new and improved special set design to pull it all together!

“I’m so honored to again be a part of the Super Bowl, this time joining NBC Sports in helping kick everything off!  I can’t wait to watch the game!” said Underwood.

Carrie is now in her second season as the musical voice of primetime television’s #1 program, Sunday Night Football, and recently returned for the 7th consecutive year as co-host of the CMA Awards.  She ended 2014 on a high note with the release of her first hits collection, Greatest Hits: Decade #1. Her record-breaking single from the album, “Something in the Water,” earned her a nomination for Best Country Solo Performance at the upcoming 57th Annual GRAMMY Awards.
