Tonight during the last live performances of The Voice, Emily Ann Roberts and her coach, Blake Shelton, collaborated on a tribute to Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton performing their 1983 hit, ‘Islands In The Stream’. The song which was was a number one hit for Kenny and Dolly, could easily be the same for Blake and Emily!
Emily Ann Roberts may only be 17, but she has the voice and style of classic country that even some of the most seasoned country artist do not possess. The high school junior from Karns, Tennessee, is one of four finalists in the running for the coveted title of ‘The Voice’ Season 9 champion.
Roberts also sang Elvis’ ‘Blue Christmas’ and was complimented by the coaches on her “classic voice” and her “consistency” as well as her “flawless” rendition of Cam’s hit single “Burning House.” She will find out tomorrow night if her performances tonight were enough to name her the Season 9 winner.
