Trisha Yearwood Comes Out Swinging With New Album Cover

By Mandy Slegers

On October 14th Trisha Yearwood revealed the cover for her new album PRIZEFIGHTER: HIT AFTER HIT with a personal message to all her fans on Facebook. Appropriate for the album cover, Yearwood is sporting a pair of boxing gloves from Sylvester Stallone, the only and only Rocky! “When I heard PrizeFighter, the song, for the first time, I kept seeing Rocky Balboa climbing those steps in Philly, with the gloves raised,” stated Yearwood. She knew she was ready to fight her way back onto the country scene when she started making her first new album in seven years.

PrizeFighter’ describes the fight we all fight, whatever it may be. It’s the courage to get up every day and give it our best shot, no matter what the odds are. We all have someone who has been a PrizeFighter in our lives…a loved one who’s survived cancer, etc. This song is dedicated to all the PrizeFighters out there!

PrizeFighter: Hit After Hit, set for November 17 release date, contains new recordings of nine of Yearwood’s biggest hits, her 1997 In Another’s Eyes duet with husband Garth Brooks, and six new songs, including PrizeFighter, which features Kelly Clarkson, which was selected as the title track for the new release. The release coincides with the Garth Brooks World Tour with Trisha Yearwood, a history-making tour that is already shattering the box office records.

PrizeFighter: Hit After Hit is available for pre-sale at Ghosttunes.
