Thomas Rhett “Flashes Back” In His New Video For “Crash And Burn”

Thomas Rhett recently hosted his very own “Flashback Friday” as he time-hops in the premier the music video of his upbeat breakup anthem “Crash And Burn”. The video was released exclusively on People.com. Burning up the charts, this has been his fastest rising single of his career. CMT’s Hot 20 Countdown will also be airing the debut video. Fans are also able to view the new video across all of CMT’s platforms including CMT.com, the ‘CMT Artists app’, ‘CMT Pure’ as well as at all other digital partners.

The captivatingly throwback “Crash And Burn” video, directed by TK McKamy, captures the paradox of the song’s desolate lyrics and dance-worthy groove, and will make you want to  “roll down the windows and crank up the radio” (ET Online). Thomas Rhett takes to the streets of downtown Nashville with a vintage boombox and classic convertible, after his love life makes a downward spiral.

“It was cool to shoot this video at some of my old stomping grounds from college,” said Thomas Rhett. “I think any guy can relate to the scenes in this video…we’ve all been in this guy’s shoes trying to do whatever it takes to win back a girl!”

The CMA and ACM “New Artist of the Year” nominee who first gained the attention as a gifted songwriter with credits including hits by Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean and Lee Brice, is now “at the forefront of young country singers” (Tampa Bay Times), as one of country music’s influential new artists. His “high-energy all the way” (El Paso Times) grabbed the attention of critics while out on the road, where he is opening up for Florida Georgia Line’s Anything Goes Tour 2015 this year.
