Happy new music Friday! Thomas Rhett has given us something to celebrate today as he unveils ‘Life Changes’ the title track and piece of music to be released from his forthcoming album (to be released September 8th on Big Machine).
‘Life Changes’ is Thomas Rhett at his most personal and accomplished to date. Starting out as a humble low-tuned acoustic track and blossoming into a grandiose anthem fit to fill any arena not just this year, but for years to come.
I wrote ‘Life Changes’ about what is going on in my life at this very exact moment—I felt like it was the perfect title track for the album,” he shared with us. “In the past year there have been so many dramatic and beautiful changes that I’ve experienced—from becoming a father not once but twice, to reaching some major milestones in my career as an artist and songwriter—I’m just trying to soak it all in and enjoy every minute of it,” Thomas Rhett says about the track.
That mindset is heard and felt in his new track that features powerful lyrics any music fan can relate to. In the catchy chorus, the Grammy nominee expresses just how much the world can transform around you in such a small amount of time.

Kicking off the album is the already chart-topping ‘Craving You,’ and from there it carves a path as wild and wide as his own career. There are coming-of-age Country ballads, heartland Rock & Roll anthems, EDM-influenced Pop tracks and R‘n’B slow jams all wrapped together by the songwriting skills and elastic vocals of a frontman who’s willing to shine a light on his own milestones and mistakes.
Blending Country, Pop and R’n’B into a refreshingly timeless sound, Thomas Rhett has enjoyed a meteoric rise that has seen him hailed as one of America’s brightest new talents. Scoring his first hit in 2012, Thomas Rhett introduced a sound that mixed the southern swagger of Country music with Pop hooks, R&B grooves, soulful strut and the anything-goes attitude of Rock. Thomas Rhett has gone on to win ‘Male Vocalist Of The Year’ at the ACMs, performed with artists Nick Jonas and Zara Larsson, astonished audiences at London’s Country 2 Country festival, and has become a husband and father too.
2017 will also see Rhett bring his ‘Home Team’ tour to the UK after drawing impressive crowds last year, with the first stop at London’s The Roundhouse on November 10th.
