Ray LaMontagne to Release Fourth Album

Ray LaMontagne admitted during an episode of Elvis Costello’s Spectacle talk show on the Sundance Channel, that he doesn’t like being the center of attention and never wanted to be on stage. “If I didn’t have to do it I wouldn’t do it.” Luckily for us, he is compelled to do so.

That said, we thought we’d put him right smack dab in the spotlight.

According to American Songwriter magazine, Ray LaMontagne will release his fourth album, the self-produced God Willin’ & the Creek Don’t Rise, on August 17th via RCA records. Joining LaMontagne on the album are the Pariah Dogs, a loose band of session musicians who’ve played with everyone from Tom Waits to Lucinda Williams. God Willin’ is the followup to 2008’s Gossip In the Grain, which debuted at #3 on the Billboard charts.
