Randy Houser’s First #1 single “How Country Feels” Now Also his First RIAA® Gold® Certified Single

Randy Houser’s How Country Feels single may boast laid back lyric but thankfully his career is doing anything but “slowing down fast”. The artist and the album have been gaining momentum since its release, as the singer’s first #1 single, How Country Feels, has now been RIAA® Gold® Certified, selling over half a million digital downloads

“How Country Feels”, Houser’s third studio album and first for new record label, Stoney Creek Records, hit retail and digital outlets on January Randy Houser How Country Feels Album Cover22, 2013, debuting at No. 3 on the Billboard Country Albums chart. The album has also received praise from AP, CBS New York, The Washington Post, Billboard and many more.

In addition to all the “How Country Feels” praise and accolades, Houser has performed on FOX News Channel’s Fox & Friends, Walmart Soundcheck, AOL Sessions, Yahoo! Ram Country, CONAN and  Better TV – and interviewed on GAC’s Headline Country and CMT’s Hot 20 Countdown talking about his new project.

And backstage, the critics have been doing their own talking.

Chris Talbott of the Associated Press writes, “How Country Feels is “stuffed with country soul-inflected mid-tempo arrangements that highlight Houser’s rich voice, there’s likely a few more hits among its 15 tracks.”

Rhapsody’s Linda Ryan adds, “How County Feels is a polished collection whose other gems include feel-good ‘Growin’ Younger’ and frivolous charmer ‘Absolutely Nothing.’ But Houser’s soulful voice shines brightest on the straight and sincere songs, like ‘The Singer,’ ‘Power of a Song’ and ‘Route 3 Box 250 D.’”

Annie Reuter, online reviewer for CBS New York, who attended Houser’s sold-out show in New York City at Mercury Lounge which was broadcast live on Sirius XM‘s “The Highway” notes, “Randy segued effortlessly from the high energy numbers to the slower ones but just because he got quieter didn’t mean the crowd ever would. No doubt excited for his show, fans screamed requests and compliments throughout his set. ‘You play like there’s 18,000 of us. We love it!’ one fan screamed.’”

And from the looks of things, Randy Houser’s not going to be getting any of that “laid back, slow-down fast” anytime soon. The artist has a relentless tour schedule in 2013 across the U.S. including an opening spot on Miranda Lambert and Dierks Bentley’s “Locked and Reloaded Tour”.

Keep an eye on Randy’s Tour dates to see when he’s coming to a town near you.

And for now, enjoy Randy Houser’s new RIAA® Gold® Certified #1 Single, How Country Feels.
