Singer, actress and half of Sugarland, Jennifer Nettles, recently announced the title and release date of her second solo album. The album, titled “Playing With Fire“, is set for release on May 13th.
I am so proud of this record,” Jennifer says. “I can’t wait to share it with my fans and hear their reactions. It is a ton of sass and emotion and fun.”
“Playing With Fire“ was produced by Dann Huff, who has also lead projects by Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban, just to name a few, and recorded in Nashville. The album’s 11 tracks were co-written by Jennifer along with hit writers like Brandy Clark, Shane McAnally and Lori McKenna.
The album’s debut single, “Unlove You,” is available now.
The new music comes off the shirt tails of her TV-acting debut on NBC’s “Coat of Many Colors“, Dolly Parton’s film based on her iconic song, where Jennifer took on the role of Dolly’s mother, Avie Lee.
Nettles is currently on the road on the ‘CMT 2016 Next Women of Country Tour’ with Brandy Clark, Lindsay Ell and Tara Thompson. Jennifer will also be appearing on the March 24th episode of ‘CMT Crossroads’ alongside power-pop legends Cheap Trick.
