James Otto is back on the country music scene and recently stopped by Rise Up Country and KLMJ studios among others, to talk about what’s new in his life, touring and his new single, ‘Somewhere Tonight.’ The single has been continuously climbing the charts and is now #5 on Sirius/XM The Highway’s hot 45 chart.

“With all the things that happen in life, sometimes you just need to break out, and that’s exactly what this song is about,” Otto comments. “It’s saying, ‘I just want to go somewhere tonight. I wanna forget about all the stress and pressure at work and the busy schedules. I just want to get out and have some fun.’”

Otto’s last album, ‘Shake What God Gave Ya,’ landed him in the Top 10 and gave him two Top 40 hits, ‘Groovy Little Summer Song’ and ‘Soldiers & Jesus.’ After his rise to the top of the charts with the 2007 hit, ‘I Just Got Started Loving You,’ Otto has also co-written some of country music’s biggest hits, including Jamey Johnson’s ‘In Color’ and the Zac Brown Band‘s ‘No Hurry.’
