Multi-platinum entertainer Jake Owen has announced the details for his headlining acoustic “Down To The Tiki Tonk Tour.” Kicking off on Valentine’s Day weekend in February 2020, the 8-city trek will make stops in Des Moines, IA (2/14), Green Bay, WI (2/27), Lancaster, PA (3/6), Augusta, GA (3/14), Mobile, AL (3/15) and brings Owen back to his original roots of how he got started, playing guitar live on a barstool with just him and the audience.
Owen will perform intimate and acoustic interpretations of songs off his highly-acclaimed album “Greetings From…Jake” including his fast-rising single, “Homemade,” the #1 smash “I Was Jack (You Were Diane)” and his ACM nominated hit, “Down To The Honkytonk.” Up-and-coming Big Loud Records vocal powerhouse Larry Fleet will serve as direct tour support for the “Down To The Tiki Tonk Tour.” Tickets are on sale now and additional purchasing information available at www.jakeowen.net.
Of the first-of-its-kind acoustic tour for Owen, the singer/songwriter shared, “Sitting on a barstool, just playing a guitar and singing songs is how I first started making music and is what first led me to fall in love with performing. Over the years I’ve been lucky enough to have the venues get bigger, and to play for larger crowds on major headlining tours, but when I sat down to think about what was important to me this upcoming year, I really wanted the opportunity to go back to the beginning of it all. For me, it was that intimate connection with fans and the ability to really engage on a more personal level… it just takes me back to the real roots of where and why you started doing this in the first place. The strength of the songwriting and the magic of how that translates into a room with just a guitar and a song. I really can’t wait to play these rooms.”
“Greetings From…Jake” garnered Owen’s seventh #1 hit and debuted with more than 154,000 album equivalents to date. The singer/songwriter continues to earn acclaim with critics praising the album as one that unveils new levels of his artistry. People raves “….Owen has let his inner Merle come out to play,” The Tennessean called the album one that “…drips steel guitar and hit country songs…,” and Billboard lauded the blend of “…biting honkytonk electrics, ringing acoustics and Paul Franklin’s tangy steel…with the twang in his Florida-bred accent…”
Entertainment Tonight recently premiered the long-form extended video for Owen’s single “Homemade,” which is currently racing up the Country music charts. “Homemade” celebrates “…all of the important elements of home that shaped who he [Jake] is…” (Sounds Like Nashville) and the video features Owen’s grandparents’ real-life love story, view it (HERE).
