If any artist could convincingly be an inspiration to singing about holding on through storms, that they will eventually run out of rain, run out of pain, run out of sting, leave you alone and set you free, it would be Gary Allan.
And that’s just what Gary does in his moving video ‘Every Storm (Runs Out of Rain)’.
From the opening chord, Gary has you by the jugular on this one. Complete captivation and you’ve heard nothing but a couple bars of music.
‘Every Storm (Runs Out of Rain)’ is the first single from Allan’s forthcoming Set You Free album, due out next year. The single is one of four tracks produced by Allan. Other producers on the album include Mark Wright and Jay Joyce (Eric Church / Little Big Town). And Allan has made a commitment to give away an exclusive acoustic version of his single for FREE.
Here’s How It All Unfolded . . .
On Monday, December 3, 2012, USAToday.com hosted the world premiere of Allan’s official ‘Every Storm (Runs Out of Rain)’ video with a message encouraging people to donate to the Red Cross.
You see, Allan was scheduled to headline a show in Atlantic City the week The Perfect Storm (Hurricane Sandy) hit. But the show, like many others in the northeast, was cancelled due to the storm.
Just two weeks later in Nashville, TN, Allan shot the video for his new single. Shortly afterwards, Allan and his team started to realize how timely his song was, and that it could be used as a tool to help others in need. When disasters like Superstorm Sandy devastate communities, your support helps ensure the Red Cross is there to provide warm meals, shelter, and hope to families when they need it most.
“My song, ‘Every Storm (Runs Out Of Rain)’, is about hope and light at the end of the tunnel.” said Allan. “With the devastation in the northeast region by Sandy, I thought this song was extremely timely. I wanted to partner with the Red Cross on this because they have always offered hope for those in need.”
‘Every Storm (Runs Out of Rain)’ stands on its own in lyrical merit. Add gut-wrenching conviction from the raspy vocals of a well-seasond artist and person like Gary, position all that amidst windswept rain, and you’ve got conviction sending chills up and down your spine.
Another stellar performance from a phenomenal artist. Gary will definitely soothe your pain with ‘Every Storm (Runs Out of Rain)’ so perhaps you can help him soothe the pain of others by donating to the Red Cross.
