CMA Fest Kicks Off Last Night With CMT Awards

CMA Fest kicked off last night with the CMT Awards in Nashville…here’s a look at some of the brightest spots from the awards:

Kelsea Ballerini debuted the stellar performance of her latest single “Legends,” which is the first single off her highly anticipated sophomore album due later this year. The single reached iTunes’ top 15 across all genres within 12 hours of the release.

Luke Bryan and Jason Derulo took home the Performance of the Year Award then recreated their CMT Crossroads performance with a broken down performance of “Strip It Down” then went into a electric performance of Derulo’s song “Want to Want Me.” The unlikely pairing started with a duet on karaoke app Sing! and the duo’s budding friendship came to full blossom with the big win.

Brett Eldredge launched onto the stage and carried the same energy throughout his single “Somethin’ I’m Good At.” Earlier in the night, Brett proved he’s the most stylish guy in country music, sporting Alexander McQueen on the red carpet.
