Chrissy Metz To Perform In ‘Breakthrough’ Moment With Carrie Underwood, Lauren Alaina, Mickey Guyton, & Maddie & Tae

The Academy of Country Music announced today that Chrissy Metz, star of the upcoming movie “Breakthrough” being released by 20th Century Fox this Easter, will make her live television performance debut at the “54TH Academy Of Country Music Awards,” and be joined on stage by Lauren Alaina, Mickey Guyton, Maddie & Tae and Carrie Underwood for a must-see collaboration.

The artists, who are each featured on the film’s soundtrack will perform a special rendition of the song “I’m Standing With You,” while spotlighting ACM Lifting Lives, the philanthropic arm of the Academy of Country Music dedicated to improving lives through the power of music.

As previously announced, 14-time ACM Award winner Underwood will also perform a song from her own album at Country Music’s Party of the Year, which will also feature performances by Jason Aldean (ACM Dick Clark Artist of the Decade Award honoree), Dierks Bentley, Brooks & Dunn, Brothers Osborne, Luke Bryan, Kane Brown, Brandi Carlile, Eric Church, Kelly Clarkson, Luke Combs (ACM New Male Artist of the Year), Dan + Shay, Florida Georgia Line, Khalid, Miranda Lambert, LANCO (ACM New Group of the Year), Little Big Town, Ashley McBryde (ACM New Female Artist of the Year), Old Dominion, Reba McEntire, Maren Morris, Thomas Rhett, Blake Shelton, Chris Stapleton, George Strait and Keith Urban.

This year’s star-studded list of presenters includes Lauren Alaina, Beth Behrs, Clint Black, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Jessie James Decker, Hunter Hayes, Jay Hernandez, Lady Antebellum, Midland, Nancy O’Dell, Danica Patrick, Carly Pearce, Dennis Quaid, Michael Ray, Cole Swindell and Wilmer Valderrama.

The awards telecast, hosted by Reba McEntire, will air LIVE from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, April 7, 2019 at 8:00 PM ET on the CBS Television Network.
