THE 2012 ACM “NEW ARTIST OF THE YEAR” FINAL NOMINEES ARE:

Brantley Gilbert has quite an impressive list of industry accolades to his credit already. His sophomore release “Halfway to Heaven Deluxe” debuted at #2 on the Billboard Country Albums Chart in September 2011. Together “Halfway to Heaven” standard and deluxe versions have sold almost 500,000 copies to date and Gilbert’s first single “Country Must Be Country Wide” recently held the #1 spot at Country radio. And as an accomplished songwriter, Brantley’s also penned the #1 hits “My Kinda Party” and “Dirt Road Anthem” (Jason Aldean). In addition to playing his own headlining dates, Gilbert is currently on the road with Eric Church as a guest on Eric’s “Blood, Sweat & Beers Tour” where upon hearing the news of being chosen as a final nominee for ACM “New Artist of the Year” Brantley responded to his fans on facebook saying:

“BG Nation…. Look what YOU did…. Spread the news like wild fire…. To the Academy of Country Music Awards we roll….
When I say BG you say Nation…. Get ready y’all…. You should be so proud of yourselves…. You are the team that made it happen….”

Hunter Hayes is a new artist that’s not really new – but is just getting started. And you can decipher that riddle better from the very interesting Biography of Hunter Hayes.

Hunter is the only 2011 debut artist to play every instrument, write/co-write every song and co-produce his critically acclaimed self-titled debut album. (That’s seriously impressive. You might want to re-read that) He’s a multi-instrumentalist who has garnered praise with recent national television appearances on CBS’ Late Show with David Letterman, Good Morning America and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

Billboard calls Hunter “a prodigious talent…drawing on modern pop and country sounds – including Keith Urban, John Mayer, Rascal Flatts and Jason Mraz.”

USA Today raves “if this Louisiana singer is as good as this single [Storm Warning], he’s about to be a big country star.”

Hunter has co-written songs for Rascal Flatts and Montgomery Gentry and has shared the stage with Trace Adkins, Lady Antebellum, Hank Williams, Jr., Brad Paisley, Taylor Swift and more. Hunter is currently on his first headlining “Most Wanted Tour” with sold out dates across the country.

Hunter excitedly shared news of the honor with his fans:

“IT’S OFFICIAL!!!
You guys officially helped me get Nominated for my first ever ACM!! Thank you ACMs and thank you Fans for helping spread the word and for voting! YOU ROCK!!! 😀 “

Scotty McCreery was recently named No. 1 on Billboard magazine’s list of Top New Country Artists for 2011 and his debut album “Clear As Day” was certified platinum just three months.

“Clear As Day” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 and Top Country Albums charts, making Scotty the youngest man in history to open at the top of the all-genre chart with a debut release. It garnered the highest sales of any country solo album released last year and held the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart for six weeks. The album’s first single, “I Love You This Big,” has been certified gold, and his current single, “The Trouble With Girls,” is approaching gold status.

Scotty is currently touring as part of Brad Paisley’s “Virtual Reality Tour 2012”. Keep up with Scotty McCreery at his official site and watch him performing his current single “The Trouble With Girls” here:

  2. This looks so fun. I haven’t been a HUGE fan of the Kinect or motion cortnol in the past partly because it still needs some work, and partly because it’s just too MUCH work so I agree that this is a step in the right direction. It’s funny, but I always imagined having to wear big old goggles or something to experience this sort of immersion so compared to that concept, this looks incredibly comfortable and exciting! I would buy this in a heartbeat. =)

  5. Oh ok. It was somebody in our web. I can’t remember to be exact. I think her layout looks like yours though or has similar colors. As far as a gene I think it does have to do with genetics. Science has proven it. I read an article a while back that compared lesbians brains to straight males and they were very similar . Same with gay males brains were similar to straight females. I don’t think it’s a coincidence either that on my father’s side there are only 4 of girls including me. Out of 4 three of us are gay. One of them is my father’s twin’s daughter. I think that’s some proof for the pudding.
