Trisha Yearwood’s “Broken” Breaks Into The Top 20 On Billboard’s AC Chart

Trisha Yearwood has earned her highest ranking AC chart hit as “Broken” hits #20 on Billboard’s Nielsen BDS-based Adult Contemporary chart (dated April 30th). Of course, the three-time Grammy Award-winning Country star has been a force on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart for nearly 25 years, with nineteen Top 10 hits…including five No. 1’s on that chart.

Trisha’s performance of “Broken” on The Passion which aired on FOX on March 20th, was instantly lauded on social media, and Yearwood next performed the song on Live with Kelly & Michael on March 23rd.

Since then, fans at each stop on the record-setting “The Garth Brooks World Tour with Trisha Yearwood have taken to requesting the song in person via giant signs they create and bring to the arena shows.

I love to look out from the stage and see fans with their signs, requesting “Broken,” said Trisha. “It’s proof to me how powerful the song is. I felt it myself when I first heard the original version, sung by Lifehouse, and it’s confirmed each night on the road. I truly am blessed by ‘Broken.’”

Altogether, Trisha covers five songs on ‘The Passion’ soundtrack from Rogers & Hammerstein with “You’ll Never Walk Alone” from the musical, Carousel, Jewel with “Hands”, Lifehouse with “Broken”, Jason Mraz with “I Won’t Give Up” and the great Whitney Houston with “My Love Is Your Love”.
