Thanksgiving is right around the corner and It’s going to be a very special year this year for all of Joey + Rory’s fans. RFD-TV is scheduled to air a marathon of “The Joey + Rory Show” throughout the day on Thanksgiving, paying tribute to the couple and the struggles they are dealing with through the struggle of Joey’s cancer battle.
Joey Feek has been battling Stage 4 cancer, for which she recently underwent surgery, radiation and chemotherapy. Doctors have told Joey and her husband and duo partner, Rory Feek, there is nothing more they can do for her, and the couple recently made the decision to end her treatments. She is currently in hospice care for what she has acknowledged will probably be the final stage of her life.
“To Joey + Rory With Love” will air at 9AM ET running through a five-hour span of the 10 best episodes of “The Joey + Rory Show” from the past three years. Beginning at 7:30PM ET, RFD-TV will air an exclusive broadcast of personal messages for the Feeks from their fans and country music stars alike including Reba McEntire, Marty Stuart, Connie Smith, Dolly Parton and many more.
The broadcast will re-air at 11:30PM Thanksgiving evening. Rural Radio (SiriusXM Channel 147) will also simulcast the tribute.
“The Joey + Rory Show” was a popular variety show on the network, which focuses specifically on programming for rural audiences. It followed the musical career of Joey + Rory, as well as their life at home on their Tennessee farm with their infant daughter Indiana.
The RFD-TV Thanksgiving Day special will also incorporate the messages and personal tributes from their fans who have been following Joey’s brave battle, who are invited to participate by recording messages on social media and sending them to carlos@rfdtv.com.
