With much anticipation since the release of his last album, Two Lanes of Freedom in 2013, Country music icon Tim McGraw released his second Big Machine Records album, SUNDOWN HEAVEN TOWN, on September 16, followed by a blazing release week schedule filled with national TV appearances, live performances and more.
USA Today is already affirming that the album will continue McGraw’s winning streak! Release day kicked off at sunrise for McGraw with a performance on Good Morning America, September 16th. Later that night, McGraw teamed up with the award-winning director Bennett Miller (Moneyball, Capote) for the music series American Express Unstaged at Hammerstein Ballroom. From beginning to end, SUNDOWN HEAVEN TOWN tips its hat to the traditions of country music, then throws in some new ingredients into the mix all the while balancing its authentic country atmosphere with a bit of pop shine. In the end we result we get is a melting pot of all aspects of Tim McGraw that we love best. This is a country album for 2014, balanced by the affection for the genre along with the desire to push it into unexplored territory. Co-produced by McGraw and Byron Gallimore, with whom he has collaborated on all twelve of his previous multi-platinum chart topping albums. SUNDOWN HEAVEN TOWN marks his thirteenth career studio album and second with Big Machine Record.
Helping to bring the celebration from coast to coast, McGraw provided Southwest passengers FREE WIFI on all evening flights to Los Angeles, CA on September 16. The three time GRAMMY award-winning entertainer has accumulated 35 No. one’s, 54 Top 10 hits, sold over 40 million albums, 14 CMAs, 15 ACMs, 10 AMAs and countless other honors. He is also currently up for two CMA Awards including “Single of the Year” and “Musical Event of the Year” for “Meanwhile Back At Mama’s” (which also features Faith Hill). His current single, “Shotgun Rider” is impacting radio now.
